I started ANTICS in January 2006 when I became a full-time
mum of two young boys.


Having worked for many years as an HR manager,  I loved my
new lifestyle.  However, I'm sure most parents would agree that
at times the challenge of looking after small children can become
very lonely and good support networks and the opportunity to
'get out of the house' are essential.


Whilst I found local mother and toddlers groups very good, at the time there were no 'everyday' indoor play areas/meeting places in the local area. I regularly travelled further afield to find 'something to do' with the children and a friendly place to meet/chat with other parents and carers.  The sort of place that, as a mum, I would feel comfortable in.  And that's how it all started! 

We may be small but we're big on friendliness so do give us a try.

The Team

There are several of us who help at ANTICS - and we're mostly local mums (some more recent than others). We've been checked through the Criminal Records Bureau and most of us have a basic food hygiene qualification.
